Danea Ramos is the Managing Director for Business For Good. She has 7+ years of experience in non-profit fundraising, consulting, and in leading marketing efforts. She has administered more than $4MM dollars in federal, state, and private foundations.
Danea also has extensive experience in project management and has run multiple programs for economic development in San Diego. She is responsible for solving strategic problems while also creating a solid foundation for future growth as managing director. She also creates processes that will increase efficiency and ensure the overall goals of the organization are executed.
In addition, Danea manages CONNECT ALL @ the Jacobs Center alongside Alex Waters, facilitating programs and operations for the accelerator program; overseeing the Business Resource Center, including workshops, office hours, advising and events; and leading CAJC marketing efforts. She is the project manager of Expanding Small Business Supports in the San Diego Promise Zone, a federally designated area of the City’s most disadvantaged and underserved communities spanning East Village and Barrio Logan east to Encanto and Emerald Hills. Danea manages all financial and organizational aspects of this project with members of the San Diego Small Business Lending Collaborative to streamline federal resources at the local level.
A catalyst for helping low to moderate income entrepreneurs, Danea has spent years helping business owners’ access both funding and resources. Previously, Danea served as a business development officer at the global nonprofit Accessity, at which she helped many small business owners access capital, provided technical assistance, conducted community outreach, and organized workshops for entrepreneurs interested in starting a business or getting access to capital.
Danea has also worked abroad as the communication and relationship manager for Market Expansion Group, a start-up importation and distribution company in Lao People’s Democratic Republic. In this role, she worked with foreign embassies, business owners and suppliers around the world.
She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Global Business Management with an emphasis in Marketing and a minor in Sociology from California State University, San Marcos. She also holds a certificate in Project Management from the University of San Diego.
